Eugenia a Historic Treasure

Eugenia History A Historic TreasureThis book covers what life was like in Eugenia and the surrounding area in 1853, events leading to discovery of Eugenia Falls, the gold rush and the history of hydro production in Eugenia. Eugenia was the site of a small Hydro Generating station, built by William Hogg, just above Eugenia Falls.

Lake Eugenia was created in 1914 as a result of the Hydro Dam and Eugenia Power Station, built to generate hydro electric power.

A map shows points of interest. It's a good reference guide to take with you while walking in the Eugenia Falls Conservation Area and on the Bruce Trail.
